Ingredients

- 1 cup apple cider
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Reduce apple cider by simmering until it thickens to 1/4 cup.
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, egg, buttermilk, vanilla, and reduced cider.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Scoop batter into greased donut molds or shape into rings.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6-8 minutes until golden.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use a piping bag for even donut shapes.
- Dust with cinnamon sugar for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
