- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 package refrigerated pie crust
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp coarse sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Toss diced apples with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Roll out pie crust and cut into 4-inch circles.
- Press circles into muffin tin or silicone cups.
- Fill each cup with apple mixture.
- Top with another pie crust circle or lattice strips.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle coarse sugar if desired.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use Granny Smith apples for best texture.
- Prevent browning by tossing apples in lemon juice.
- Check at 8 minutes to avoid burning.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
