Description
A delicious fusion of birria and grilled cheese made easy with an air fryer.
Ingredients

- 1 cup shredded birria beef
- 4 slices of bread
- 1 cup shredded Oaxaca or mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 1/4 cup consommé (birria broth)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup diced onions
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer shredded cheese, birria beef, cilantro, and onions.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out.
- Place the sandwiches in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with consommé for dipping.
Notes
- Use leftover birria for convenience.
- Adjust cheese to your preference.
- Spraying the air fryer basket lightly prevents sticking.
