Description

A quick and easy version of the classic Chicken Cordon Bleu made in an air fryer. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with ham and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices ham
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Butterfly the chicken breasts and flatten them to an even thickness.
  3. Layer 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese inside each chicken breast.
  4. Roll the chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  5. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Brush each chicken roll with Dijon mustard, then dip in beaten egg.
  7. Coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture.
  8. Place in the air fryer basket and cook for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use toothpicks to secure the chicken rolls to prevent them from opening.
  • Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer for doneness.
  • Serve with a side of mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
