Ingredients

- 8 oz halloumi cheese, sliced into 4 thick pieces
- 4 burger buns
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Handful of fresh lettuce
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Coat the halloumi slices with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano.
- Place the halloumi in the air fryer basket and cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Mix mayonnaise and lemon juice in a small bowl.
- Toast the burger buns lightly if desired.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading the mayo mix on the buns, then adding lettuce, tomato, avocado, and halloumi.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Ensure the halloumi slices are thick enough to stay firm while cooking.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
- Add chili flakes for extra heat.
