A delicious and healthy twist on traditional brownies made with chickpeas and cooked in an air fryer for a high-protein treat.
Ingredients

- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut or almond)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Blend chickpeas, nut butter, maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla, baking powder, and salt in a food processor until smooth.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into a greased or parchment-lined baking dish that fits in your air fryer.
- Air fry for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- For a sweeter brownie, add an extra tablespoon of maple syrup.
