Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 4 mini hot dogs or sausage links
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • Wooden skewers or toothpicks
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add milk and egg to the dry ingredients. Stir until smooth.
  4. Cut each mini hot dog in half. Insert a wooden skewer into each piece.
  5. Dip each skewered hot dog into the batter, coating evenly.
  6. Roll the coated hot dogs in panko breadcrumbs mixed with grated cheese.
  7. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil.
  8. Place the corn dogs in the air fryer, leaving space between them.
  9. Cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Serve warm with ketchup or mustard for dipping.

Notes

  • Use any type of sausage or hot dog you prefer.
  • For extra crispiness, spray the corn dogs lightly with oil before air frying.
  • If the batter is too thick, add a little more milk.
  • These can be made ahead and reheated in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes.
