Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Mix mochiko, water, and sugar in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Cover and microwave for 1 minute, then stir. Repeat until thick and sticky.
  3. Dust a surface with cornstarch and roll the dough into small balls.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Lightly brush the mochi balls with vegetable oil.
  6. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and puffed.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
