Description
Aromatic pears poached in spiced wine, cooked quickly in an air fryer for a warm, festive dessert.
Ingredients

- 3 ripe but firm pears, peeled
- 1 cup red wine
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 cloves
- 1 star anise
- 1 orange, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
- Mix wine, honey, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, and orange slices in a bowl.
- Place pears in an air fryer-safe dish and pour the wine mixture over them.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes until pears are tender.
- Remove pears and reduce the liquid in a pan for 5 minutes for a thicker syrup.
- Serve warm with syrup drizzled on top.
Notes
- Use firm pears like Bosc or Anjou to hold shape.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- Leftover syrup can be stored for up to a week.
