Description
A simple and elegant dessert made with pears poached in mulled wine using an air fryer.
Ingredients

- 4 ripe pears, peeled
- 1 bottle (750ml) red wine
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 star anise
- 3 cloves
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 vanilla pod, split
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 160°C (320°F).
- In a bowl, mix the red wine, orange slices, cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves, honey, sugar, and vanilla pod.
- Place the pears in the air fryer basket and pour the wine mixture over them.
- Cook for 20 minutes, turning the pears halfway through.
- Remove the pears and set aside. Strain the wine mixture and reduce it in a saucepan until syrupy.
- Serve the pears warm with the reduced syrup.
Notes
- Choose firm pears for better texture.
- Adjust sweetness by reducing or increasing honey and sugar.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
