Magical Air Fryer Mulled Wine Poached Pears in 30 Minutes

Description

A simple and elegant dessert made with pears poached in mulled wine using an air fryer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe pears, peeled
  • 1 bottle (750ml) red wine
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 star anise
  • 3 cloves
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod, split

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 160°C (320°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the red wine, orange slices, cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves, honey, sugar, and vanilla pod.
  3. Place the pears in the air fryer basket and pour the wine mixture over them.
  4. Cook for 20 minutes, turning the pears halfway through.
  5. Remove the pears and set aside. Strain the wine mixture and reduce it in a saucepan until syrupy.
  6. Serve the pears warm with the reduced syrup.

Notes

  • Choose firm pears for better texture.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing or increasing honey and sugar.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
