Crispy and flavorful onion petals made in an air fryer.
Ingredients

- 1 large onion
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Cut the onion into petals.
- Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Whisk egg and milk in another bowl.
- Dip each onion petal in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place onion petals in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use a sharp knife for even onion petals.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
