Description

A quick and easy air fryer version of the classic pineapple upside down cake. Perfect for small batches and ready in minutes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 pineapple rings
  • 2 maraschino cherries
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
  4. Place pineapple rings in the bottom of a greased cake pan.
  5. Add a cherry in the center of each ring.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar over the pineapple.
  7. Dot with small pieces of butter.
  8. Pour batter over the pineapple.
  9. Air fry for 15-18 minutes until golden.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before flipping.

Notes

  • Use a 6-inch cake pan that fits your air fryer.
  • Check doneness with a toothpick.
  • Serve warm with ice cream.
