Soft and chewy pretzel bites made in an air fryer for a quick and delicious snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup baking soda
- 4 cups water
- Coarse salt for topping
Instructions
- Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, salt, and melted butter. Knead into a dough.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil water and baking soda in a pot.
- Cut dough into small pieces and boil for 30 seconds.
- Place bites in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes.
- Sprinkle with coarse salt before serving.
Notes
- Use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Check doneness early to avoid over-browning.
- Serve with cheese sauce or mustard for dipping.
