Description

Delicious hand pies filled with spiced pumpkin, made easily in the air fryer for a crispy crust.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 46 tbsp ice water
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
  2. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Add ice water, 1 tbsp at a time, until dough forms.
  4. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  5. Mix pumpkin, sugar, and spices in a separate bowl.
  6. Roll out dough and cut into circles.
  7. Place pumpkin filling on half of each circle.
  8. Fold dough over and seal edges with a fork.
  9. Brush with egg wash.
  10. Air fry at 375°F for 10-12 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • Use cold butter for flaky crust.
  • Don’t overfill the pies.
