Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup toffee sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. Soak dates in boiling water and baking soda for 10 minutes, then blend into a paste.
  3. Cream butter and sugar, then mix in egg and vanilla.
  4. Fold in flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine date paste with the batter.
  6. Pour into a greased baking dish that fits in the air fryer.
  7. Air fry for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Drizzle with toffee sauce before serving.
