Quick and flavorful teriyaki mushroom skewers cooked in an air fryer, perfect for a healthy appetizer or side dish.

- 16 oz (450g) cremini mushrooms, cleaned
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
- Thread mushrooms onto skewers, leaving small gaps between them.
- In a bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and honey.
- Brush the sauce mixture evenly over the mushroom skewers.
- Place skewers in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway and brushing with more sauce.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Use any mushroom variety like shiitake or button.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Serve with extra teriyaki sauce for dipping.
