Description

Crispy and flavorful teriyaki tofu bites made in the air fryer. A quick and healthy snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic in a bowl.
  3. Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch until coated.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Place tofu in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes, shaking halfway.
  6. Toss cooked tofu in teriyaki sauce and return to air fryer for 2 more minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper in the air fryer for easier cleanup.
  • For extra crispiness, spray tofu lightly with oil before air frying.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
