Description

Make crispy and flavorful teriyaki tofu in your air fryer with this simple recipe. Perfect for a quick, healthy meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic to make the teriyaki sauce.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch to coat evenly.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Place the tofu in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  6. Toss the cooked tofu in the teriyaki sauce and return to the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to glaze.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Press the tofu well to ensure it crisps up nicely.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the teriyaki sauce by adding more or less maple syrup.
  • Serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
