- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic to make the teriyaki sauce.
- Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch to coat evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the tofu in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Toss the cooked tofu in the teriyaki sauce and return to the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to glaze.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving, if desired.
Notes
- Press the tofu well to ensure it crisps up nicely.
- Adjust the sweetness of the teriyaki sauce by adding more or less maple syrup.
- Serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
