Description

A juicy whole chicken cooked in an air fryer with garlic and rosemary for a crispy skin and flavorful meat.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (34 lbs)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix olive oil, garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the chicken, including under the skin.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Place the chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken breast-side up.
  7. Cook for another 20-25 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before carving.

Notes

  • Use kitchen twine to tie legs for even cooking.
  • Check chicken halfway to prevent overcooking.
