Description

A simple and healthy way to cook a whole snapper in the air fryer for a crispy skin and tender flesh.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole snapper (about 1.5 lbs), cleaned and scaled
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the snapper dry with paper towels.
  3. Make 3 shallow diagonal cuts on each side of the fish.
  4. Rub olive oil all over the fish, including inside the cavity.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  6. Stuff the cavity with lemon slices and fresh herbs.
  7. Place the fish in the air fryer basket.
  8. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  9. Check for doneness (internal temp should be 145°F/63°C).
  10. Let rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust cooking time based on the size of your fish.
  • For extra crispiness, pat the skin very dry before cooking.
  • You can use other whole fish of similar size.
  • Serve with additional lemon wedges.
