  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake pie crust for 10 minutes.
  2. Slice bananas and layer them at the bottom of the crust.
  3. In a saucepan, mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk in milk and egg yolks.
  4. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
  5. Pour filling over bananas. Let cool.
  6. Melt chocolate chips with whipping cream and spread over pie.
  7. Chill for at least 3 hours before serving.
