A delicious and easy-to-make country apple fritter bread recipe that combines the flavors of cinnamon, apples, and a sweet glaze.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix well.
- Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, stirring until combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle with half the brown sugar. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the brown sugar.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for the glaze. Drizzle over the cooled bread.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best results.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- You can add nuts for extra crunch.
