Crispy chicken made in an air fryer for a healthier alternative to deep frying.
Ingredients

- 2 chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut chicken breasts into strips or nugget-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Beat the egg in a separate bowl.
- Dip each chicken piece in the flour mixture, then the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with olive oil.
- Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Check internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, lightly spray the chicken with oil before cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- Adjust seasoning to your preference.
- Works with boneless chicken thighs as well.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
