- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut each mozzarella stick in half.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs and water, and one with breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Roll each mozzarella piece in flour, then dip in egg mixture, and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Place coated sticks on a tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 375°F (190°C).
- Fry sticks in batches until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
