  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and 2 tbsp cocoa powder in a bowl.
  3. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into a greased baking dish.
  5. Combine brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa powder in a separate bowl. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  6. Pour hot water over the top without stirring.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is firm.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
