Description

Delicious Swedish meatballs cooked in an air fryer for a crispy exterior and juicy interior.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp butter (for sauce)
  • 1 tbsp flour (for sauce)
  • 1 cup beef broth (for sauce)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (for sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Mix ground beef, pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  3. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs in air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking basket halfway.
  6. For sauce, melt butter in a pan, whisk in flour, then slowly add beef broth and cream.
  7. Simmer until thickened, then toss meatballs in sauce.

Notes

  • Use lean meat for best texture.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer.
