- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and honey.
- Add chopped cilantro and mix well.
- Pour marinade over your choice of meat, seafood, or vegetables in a resealable bag or dish.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
- Remove from marinade and grill as desired.
Notes
- For extra heat, add 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper.
- Works well with chicken, shrimp, steak, or tofu.
- Marinate longer for deeper flavor penetration.
- Discard used marinade after removing meat to avoid cross-contamination.
