Ingredients

- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup diced jalapenos
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Coarse salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and melted butter. Knead until smooth.
- Cover and let dough rise for 1 hour.
- Divide dough into 8 equal pieces.
- Flatten each piece and fill with ham, Swiss cheese, and jalapenos.
- Seal edges and roll into pretzel shapes.
- Boil water with baking soda. Dip each pretzel for 30 seconds.
- Place on a baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle coarse salt.
- Bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

- Let pretzels cool slightly before serving.
