Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried chickpeas (soaked overnight)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Drain soaked chickpeas and pat dry.
  2. Add chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, and lemon juice to a food processor.
  3. Pulse until mixture is coarse but holds together.
  4. Form into small balls or patties.
  5. Brush with olive oil and place in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry at 375°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. Serve warm with tahini or yogurt sauce.

Notes

  • Do not use canned chickpeas—they are too soft.
  • For extra crispiness, spray falafel lightly with oil before air frying.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
