Ingredients

- 1 lb tomatillos, husked and rinsed
- 2 jalapeños, stems removed
- 1 small white onion, quartered
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp water (if needed for consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat the broiler in your oven.
- Place tomatillos, jalapeños, onion, and garlic on a baking sheet.
- Broil for 5-7 minutes until charred, flipping halfway.
- Transfer roasted ingredients to a blender.
- Add cilantro, salt, and lime juice.
- Blend until smooth, adding water if too thick.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.
Notes
- For a milder salsa, remove jalapeño seeds.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Use as a marinade, dip, or topping.
