Maple miso glazed chicken thighs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish. The sweet and savory glaze pairs perfectly with juicy chicken thighs.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp white miso paste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 green onion, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, miso paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Sear chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Brush the glaze over the chicken thighs, then transfer the skillet to the oven.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove from oven, garnish with sesame seeds and green onion if desired, and serve.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
  • For a crispier skin, broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
