- 4 cups cubed bread (day-old works best)
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, cream, eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- Add bread cubes to the mixture and toss gently to coat.
- Fold in chopped pecans.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until set and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use day-old bread for best texture.
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans if preferred.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
