- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced carrots
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions, carrots, and celery. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for 3 minutes.
- Toss cooked fettuccine with the bolognese sauce. Serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
- Use ground turkey for a lighter option.
- Fresh herbs can replace dried ones if available.
