Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss with the sauce. Add the cooked pasta and stir until well coated.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
