Description

A quick and easy air fryer cornbread with a spicy kick from jalapeños. Perfect as a side dish or snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Add milk, melted butter, and egg. Stir until combined.
  4. Fold in diced jalapeños.
  5. Pour batter into a greased baking pan that fits in the air fryer.
  6. Air fry for 15-18 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust jalapeño amount to taste.
  • Use a toothpick to check doneness.
  • For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
