Ingredients

  • 500g white fish fillets (cut into chunks)
  • 1 liter fish or vegetable stock
  • 2 lemons (juiced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 red chili (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until soft.
  3. Stir in ground cumin and paprika. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in fish or vegetable stock. Bring to a boil.
  5. Add fish chunks and sliced chili. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in lemon juice. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Season with salt to taste.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
