Description

Sticky gochujang chicken lettuce wraps are a flavorful and easy-to-make dish. They combine spicy Korean gochujang sauce with tender chicken, served in crisp lettuce leaves for a fresh meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, diced
  • 3 tbsp gochujang paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 810 large butter lettuce leaves
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Cook for 5-7 minutes until sticky.
  4. Wash and dry lettuce leaves. Arrange them on a plate.
  5. Spoon chicken mixture into each lettuce leaf.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Use butter lettuce for best texture.
  • Adjust gochujang amount for desired spice level.
