- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken with black pepper and brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, and orange zest in a bowl.
- Pour sauce over chicken in the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the sauce to thicken.
- Return to the oven for 5 more minutes.
- Serve hot with rice or vegetables.
Notes
- You can use chicken breasts instead of thighs, but adjust cooking time.
- For extra spice, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
