Crispy vegan churros made in an air fryer for a healthier twist on the classic dessert.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Heat water, coconut oil, sugar, and salt in a saucepan until boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour and vanilla until smooth.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe churros onto parchment paper and freeze for 15 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
- Air fry churros for 8-10 minutes until golden.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Toss warm churros in cinnamon sugar mixture.

- Use a star piping tip for traditional ridges.
- Freeze piped churros before frying to hold shape.
