Description

A quick and healthy vegetarian sandwich made in an air fryer for a crispy texture without deep frying.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Layer cheese, bell peppers, and mushrooms on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  4. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Cover with the second bread slice, buttered side facing out.
  6. Place sandwich in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
