A quick and healthy vegetarian sandwich made in an air fryer for a crispy texture without deep frying.
Ingredients

- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Layer cheese, bell peppers, and mushrooms on the unbuttered side of one slice.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Cover with the second bread slice, buttered side facing out.
- Place sandwich in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
