Crispy and festive candy cane cookies made easily in your air fryer.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/4 cup crushed candy canes
- Red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour, butter, sugar, vanilla, and peppermint extract in a bowl until dough forms.
- Divide dough in half. Add red food coloring to one half if desired.
- Roll each dough portion into small balls, then twist red and white dough together to form candy cane shapes.
- Press crushed candy canes lightly onto cookies.
- Place cookies in air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes until edges are golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra peppermint flavor, add more extract to taste.
- Use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
