A quick and easy version of the classic Indian dessert made with carrots, milk, sugar, and ghee, cooked in an air fryer for a delicious, caramelized flavor.

- 4 cups grated carrots
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (cashews, almonds)
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp raisins
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat ghee in an air fryer-safe pan and sauté the grated carrots for 5 minutes.
- Add milk and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Mix in sugar, cardamom powder, and nuts. Cook for another 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle raisins and cook for 5 more minutes until the halwa thickens.
- Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
- Use fresh, tender carrots for the best texture.
- Adjust sugar based on sweetness preference.
