Description

A quick and easy version of the classic Indian dessert made with carrots, milk, sugar, and ghee, cooked in an air fryer for a delicious, caramelized flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (cashews, almonds)
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat ghee in an air fryer-safe pan and sauté the grated carrots for 5 minutes.
  3. Add milk and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Mix in sugar, cardamom powder, and nuts. Cook for another 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle raisins and cook for 5 more minutes until the halwa thickens.
  6. Serve warm or chilled.
